ROL DEL DOCENTE EN LA GESTIÓN UNIVERSITARIA CONTEMPORÁNEA

Resumen

El docente de hoy tiene que estar convencido sobre el papel clave que le corresponde desempeñar en los tiempos actuales y sobre la importancia estratégica, para el futuro de su país, de la institución a la cual sirve. Deberá también estar familiarizado con el nuevo paradigma educativo. Su rol ya no es el del catedrático que simplemente dicta o imparte clases magistrales y luego califica los exámenes de sus alumnos. No es tampoco el del profesor que enseña y luego evalúa si sus alumnos son capaces de repetir lo que les ha enseñado, o de comprobar si asimilaron el conocimiento por él transmitido. Si hoy día lo importante es, como vimos antes, el aprendizaje, o mejor dicho los aprendizajes que los estudiantes realmente incorporan a su experiencia vital, de suerte que aprendan a aprender para que nunca dejen de seguir aprendiendo. Por tanto, los docentes universitarios como responsables de la formación de los estudiantes, deben asumir el rol de orientadores propiciando la autorrealización personal, profesional y laboral con estrategias y nuevas tecnologías de comunicación.

ROLE OF THE TEACHING STAFF IN THE CONTEMPORARY UNIVERSITY ADMINISTRATION

ABSTRACT

It must be convinced on the key paper that it corresponds to him to carry out in the present times and on the strategic importance, for the future of its country, as the institution to which it serves. It will have to also be familiarized with the new educative paradigm. Its roll no longer is the one of the university professor who simply dictates or gives skillful classes and soon he describes the examinations as his students. He is not either the one of the professor who teaches and soon he evaluates if their students are able to repeat what he has taught to them, or to verify if they assimilated the knowledge by transmitted him. If nowadays the important thing is, as we saw before, the learning or rather the learning that the students really incorporate to their vital experience, in such a way that learns to learn so that they never let continue learning. Therefore, the educational college students like people in charge of the formation of the students, must assume the role of orientation causing the personal, professional and labor auto realization with strategies and new technologies of communication.
