NO SOY DE AQUÍ, NO SOY DE ALLÁ: JÓVENES ESTUDIANTES INDÍGENAS EN LA UNIVERSIDAD AUTÓNOMA CHAPINGO

Resumen

La identidad ha sido tema central de diversos campos de las ciencias sociales, sin embargo estudios sobre identidad étnica en jóvenes son escasos, la mayoría se encuentran enfocados a personas adultas dejando de lado la postura de los jóvenes. La investigación se realizó en la Universidad Autónoma Chapingo con la colaboración del Programa de Apoyo Académico a Estudiantes Indígenas, se llevaron a cabo entrevistas en profundidad a cinco jóvenes de pueblos originarios, se efectuó el análisis de su narración codificándose las categorías que integran a la identidad étnica: territorio, lengua, organización social y complejo religioso en las dos dimensiones de la identidad: individual e intergrupal, con la finalidad de conocer de viva voz cómo los elementos de la identidad étnica en estos jóvenes provenientes de pueblos originarios se reacomodan en un nuevo entorno, cómo construyen su identidad a partir de la llegada a la universidad y cómo viven estos cambios.PALABRAS CLAVE: identidad; indígenas; territorio; lengua; religiónI AM NOT FROM HERE, I AM NOT FROM THERE: YOUNG INDIGENOUS STUDENTS IN THE AUTONOMOUS UNIVERSITY OF CHAPINGOABSTRACTThe identity has been central topic of diverse fields of the social sciences, however studies have more than enough ethnic identity in youths they are scarce, and most is focused mature people leaving aside the posture of the youths. The investigation was carried out in the Autonomous University of Chapingo with the collaboration from the Program of Academic Support to Indigenous Students, they were carried out interviews in depth to five youths of towns natives, the analysis of its narration was made being coded the categories that integrate to the ethnic identity: territory, language, social organization and religious complex in the two dimensions of the identity: singular and intergroup, with the purpose of knowing personally how the elements of the ethnic identity in these youths coming from towns natives re-accommodate in a new environment, how they build their identity starting from the arrival to the university and how these changes live.  KEYWORDS: identity; indigenous; territory; language; religion
