ACADEMIC STRESSORS IN EDUCATION STUDENTS. A COMPARATIVE STUDY BETWEEN MEXICAN AND COSTA RICAN LEARNERS
ABSTRACT
The objectives of this study were to determine the stressors that occur more and less frequently among students of careers education at a Mexican university and a Costa Rican, and relate sociodemographic factors such as gender and age. To achieve these objectives a study of transactional and non-experimental type that culminated in a design unlike no causal attribution groups through the application of Academic Stressors Inventory of 73 students of the Pedagogical University of Durango, Mexico was conducted and 80 students of the Heredia National Costa Rica University. Among its key findings highlight that there is correspondence from the two universities in academic stressors, because only differ in one of those with greater frequency, in the case of lower frequency differ in three; in relation to the variable gender and age Costa Rican students, presented greater number of stressors in relation to Mexicans.
