Resumo

El objetivo general de este estudio fue evaluar la influencia de la orientación vocacional en la decisión de los aspirantes a inscribirse en la carrera de Educación Inicial en la ULEAM. Utilizando un enfoque cuantitativo, se aplicaron encuestas a 38 estudiantes de la carrera, recopilando datos sobre su experiencia con la orientación vocacional. Los resultados revelaron que el 52.63% de los estudiantes no recibieron orientación vocacional en su colegio, y entre los que sí la recibieron, un alto porcentaje no encontraron útiles los procedimientos aplicados. La mayoría de los estudiantes son mujeres, y las decisiones de carrera estuvieron influenciadas significativamente por la presión familiar y la recomendación del departamento de orientación vocacional. La conclusión general sugiere que, aunque la orientación vocacional tiene un impacto positivo cuando es efectiva, existe una necesidad crítica de mejorar estos programas para asegurar que todos los estudiantes reciban el apoyo necesario para tomar decisiones informadas y satisfactorias sobre sus carreras.
