ESTUDIO EXPLORATORIO SOBRE LA IMPORTANCIA DE LA MATEMÁTICA PARA LA CARRERA DE INGENIERÍA CIVIL EN LA UNIVERSIDAD DE ORIENTE

Resumen

El artículo analiza los resultados obtenidos en un estudio diagnóstico sobre la importancia que se le concede a la Matemática que reciben los estudiantes de la carrera de la Ingeniería Civil, en la Universidad de Oriente de Santiago de Cuba. La investigación, de carácter exploratorio, utilizó métodos cuantitativos y cualitativos para determinar las principales dificultades relacionadas con la citada importancia y con el comportamiento de la formación matemática. Los resultados indican que existen insuficiencias que tienen su base en la forma deficiente en que se desarrolla la dinámica del proceso formativo en asignaturas de la carrera, revelando oportunidades para una intervención pedagógica en dicha dinámica.PALABRAS CLAVE: Matemática; Ingeniería Civil; resolución de problemas.EXPLORATORY STUDY ABOUT THE IMPORTANCE OF THE MATHEMATICS FOR THE CAREER OF CIVIL ENGINEERING IN THE ORIENTE UNIVERSITYABSTRACTThe article analyzes the results obtained in a diagnosis study about the importance that are granted to the mathematics that the students of the career of the Civil Engineering receive, in the Oriente University of Santiago from Cuba.
